Brian LaFave is the guy behind Western Sky Designs, a family-owned business based in Hudson, CO, serving North Denver, Louisville, Boulder, and beyond. He’s been in construction since 1996—29 years of getting my hands dirty and building things that last.
Brian founded Western Sky Designs over 22 years ago, after leaving corporate America, driven by a passion for creating custom outdoor living spaces that bring smiles to homeowners in single-family homes.
Growing up with a contractor dad, he learned the trade early but took a detour into teaching before realizing his heart was in building. From there, he worked in lumber yards, sold materials, and GC’d on the side until launching Western Sky Designs. With over 300 decks built and a Deckorators Certified Pro badge, his small but mighty team—including Haley, who brings her own passion for outdoor design—focuses on quality, transparency, and listening to their customers. No fluff, just facts.
When Brian is not on a job site, you’ll find him connecting with the North Denver community, exchanging ideas at local events to enhance outdoor spaces in Westminster, Erie, or Lafayette.
